Victory Day is celebrated to commemorate the victory of the Battle of Dumlupınar, the final battle in the Turkish War of Independence in 1922.

‘Young Turks Club’ organised a magnificent evening at Club Aquarium on Old Street to celebrate the Turkish Victory Day gathering more then 150 people from London and the surrounding areas.
Victory Day celebrations began with an open buffet dinner for the guests. The buffet was followed by a speech from Bekir Coban, the leader of Young Turks Club who explained the meaning and importance of the night. This was followed by Vice Consul Sener Cebeci’s speech thanking Young Turks for organising such a wonderful and important evening.

On the night Turkish marches were sang together with great enthusiasm young Turks were waving and fluttering the Turkish Flag in the air.
